Kirli Hanım's Baklava Recipe

Ingredients with Measurements:
- 1 package of phyllo dough (16 oz)
- 1 lb of unsalted butter, melted
- 1 lb of chopped walnuts
- 1 cup of granulated sugar
- 1 cup of water
- 1 tbsp of lemon juice
- 1 tsp of ground cinnamon

Special equipment needed:
- 9x13 inch baking dish
- Pastry brush

Step-by-step instructions:

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.

2. In a medium saucepan, combine the sugar, water, lemon juice, and cinnamon. Bring to a boil and then reduce the heat to low. Let it simmer for 10 minutes.

3. In a separate bowl, mix the chopped walnuts with 1/2 cup of the melted butter.

4. Brush the bottom of the baking dish with melted butter.

11. Remove from the oven and pour the syrup over the baklava.

12. Let it cool before serving.
