Ingredients with Measurements:
- 1 can (13.5 oz) coconut milk
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 6 large eggs
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup grated coconut
- 1/4 tsp salt

Special equipment needed:
- Mixing bowl
- Whisk
- Baking dish
- Aluminum foil
- Steamer

Step-by-step instructions:

1. Preheat the steamer over medium heat.

2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the coconut milk, sweetened condensed milk, eggs, and salt until well combined.

3. In a saucepan, combine the sugar and water. Cook over medium heat until the sugar is dissolved and the mixture turns into a light caramel color.

4. Pour the caramel into a 9-inch baking dish, making sure to coat the bottom evenly.

5. Pour the custard mixture into the baking dish over the caramel.

6. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil, making sure to seal the edges tightly.

7. Place the baking dish into the steamer and steam for 45-50 minutes or until the custard is set.

8. Remove the baking dish from the steamer and let it cool to room temperature.

9. Once cooled, refrigerate the custard for at least 2 hours or overnight.

10. To make the latik, heat a pan over medium heat. Add the grated coconut and cook until golden brown.

11. Remove from heat and let it cool.

12. Once the custard is chilled, remove it from the refrigerator and invert it onto a serving dish.

13. Sprinkle the latik on top of the custard.
