Cheesy Chicken Bog Recipe

Ingredients with Measurements:
- 1 lb. boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 lb. smoked sausage, sliced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 red bell pepper, chopped
- 1 cup long-grain white rice
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Olive oil for cooking

Special equipment needed:
- Large skillet with lid
- Wooden spoon

Step-by-step instructions:

1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add a drizzle of olive oil. Add the chicken and sausage and cook until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.

2. In the same skillet, add the onion, garlic, and bell peppers. Cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

3. Add the rice to the skillet and stir to coat with the vegetables. Cook for 1-2 minutes until the rice is slightly toasted.

4. Pour in the chicken broth and stir to combine. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and cover with a lid. Simmer for 20-25 minutes, or until the rice is cooked and the liquid has been absorbed.

5. Add the cooked chicken and sausage back to the skillet and stir to combine. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top and cover with the lid. Cook for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

6. Sprinkle chopped parsley over the top and season with salt and black pepper to taste.
