Banana Adhirasam Recipe

Ingredients with Measurements:
- 2 cups of rice flour
- 1 cup of jaggery
- 1 ripe banana, mashed
- 1/4 cup of water
- 1/4 teaspoon of cardamom powder
- Oil for frying

Special equipment needed:
- Heavy-bottomed pan
- Wooden spoon
- Adhirasam mould (optional)

Step-by-step instructions:

1. In a heavy-bottomed pan, melt the jaggery with 1/4 cup of water over low heat. Stir until the jaggery is completely dissolved.

2. Add the mashed banana to the jaggery mixture and stir well.

3. Add the rice flour and cardamom powder to the jaggery mixture and mix well until a dough is formed.

4. If the dough is too dry, add a little water. If it is too wet, add a little more rice flour.

5. Knead the dough for a few minutes until it is smooth and pliable.

6. Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.

7. Take a small ball of dough and flatten it into a disc shape. Alternatively, use an adhirasam mould to shape the dough.

8. Gently drop the adhirasam into the hot oil and fry until golden brown on both sides.

9. Remove the adhirasam from the oil and drain on a paper towel.
