Ashure with Cinnamon and Apples Recipe

Ingredients with Measurements:
- 1 cup of wheat berries
- 1/2 cup of chickpeas
- 1/2 cup of white beans
- 1/2 cup of red beans
- 1/2 cup of green lentils
- 1/2 cup of pearl barley
- 1/2 cup of rice
- 1/2 cup of sugar
- 1/2 cup of raisins
- 1/2 cup of dried apricots
- 1/2 cup of dried figs
- 1/2 cup of dried cranberries
- 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts
- 1/2 cup of chopped almonds
- 1/2 cup of chopped hazelnuts
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon of ground cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon of ground nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 2 apples, peeled and chopped
- 1 orange, juiced
- 6 cups of water

Special equipment needed:
- Large pot
- Wooden spoon
- Serving bowls

Step-by-step instructions:

1. Rinse the wheat berries, chickpeas, white beans, red beans, green lentils, pearl barley, and rice in cold water and drain.

2. In a large pot, add the rinsed grains and beans with 6 cups of water. Bring to a boil over high heat.

3. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.

4. Add the sugar, raisins, dried apricots, dried figs, dried cranberries, chopped walnuts, chopped almonds, cinnamon, ground cloves, ground nutmeg, and salt. Stir well.

5. Continue to simmer for another 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

6. Add the chopped apples and orange juice. Stir well and simmer for another 10 minutes.

7. Remove from heat and let cool for 10 minutes.

8. Serve in bowls and garnish with cinnamon and chopped nuts.
