Amlu Biryani Recipe

Ingredients with Measurements:
- 2 cups basmati rice
- 2 cups water
- 1 cup Amlu (almond and honey spread)
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 tomato, chopped
- 1 green chili, chopped
- 1 tsp ginger paste
- 1 tsp garlic paste
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 cup yogurt
- 1/4 cup milk
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp ghee
- 1/4 cup chopped coriander leaves
- 1/4 cup fried onions

Step-by-step instructions:

1. Rinse the basmati rice in cold water and soak it in water for 30 minutes.
2. In a large pot, heat 2 tbsp of ghee and add cumin seeds. Let it splutter.
3. Add chopped onion and sauté until golden brown.
4. Add ginger paste, garlic paste, and green chili. Sauté for 2 minutes.
5. Add chopped tomato and cook until soft.

8. Add 1/2 cup of yogurt and mix well.
9. Add 1/4 cup of milk and mix well.

11. Drain the soaked rice and add it to the pot. Mix well.
12. Add 2 cups of water and mix well.
13. Cover the pot with a lid and cook on low heat for 20 minutes.
14. After 20 minutes, turn off the heat and let it rest for 10 minutes.
15. Fluff the rice with a fork and serve hot.
