Candied Sweet Potatoes Recipe
Sweet
sticky buttery goodness with a hint of orange! Perfect
holiday recipe. Plus you can always make it on one of those regular
days when you are craving a different, comfort side dish!
Bring water to boil in a large pot. Peel 4 sweet potatoes and cut
into bite-size pieces (not too small though). Put in a boiling water,
and boil for about 10 minutes, or until tender when pieced with
a fork.
Melt 4 tbsp of butter (1/2 stick) in a big frying pan over medium-high
heat. Add 1/2 cup of brown sugar, and mix with butter for a minute
until sugar dissolves. Add 1/4 cup of orange juice.
Add potatoes to frying pan, and stir well. Keep stirring every
few minutes. The dish is ready when there is no more liquid in the
pan, and potatoes look sticky (5-10 minutes).
