Thermal Cooking 10 Cooking Modes

The HBN3550UC is a double oven produced by Bosch which, as a double oven, is quite sparse of the more advanced features expected of a double oven by Bosch. For one, its width only measures 27 inches, quite narrow compared to the usual 30 inch double ovens. This model does have both convection bake and roast cooking modes, but only has 8 other cooking modes, a far cry from the usual 14 found in other double or combination models. The conveniences of ergonomic dials with glass touch controls are still present though.

Interior Features

Both ovens (the upper and lower ones) contain a 10 pass recessed broil element and a concealed bake element that allows for the user to easily clean the interior cavity without anything protruding. Moreover, as these elements do not protrude, the user can enjoy the full capacity of the ovens. The ovens contains 5 standard racks, three on the upper oven and two on the lower oven, allowing the user to simultaneously cook different preparations, thus saving time, energy and effort.

Each oven is equipped with 1 oven light each, allowing the user to see what’s going on inside the ovens. The ovens’ cavity has a 4.2 cubic feet overall capacity.

Exterior Features

The flush-to-cabinet design of the oven allows it to easily blend with any kitchen type it is placed in. The door window is designed in such a way that the user can see what’s going on inside the oven without having to really come overly close to the ovens.

The control panels, located at the upper portion of the upper oven, contain ergonomic dials that are easy to handle and clean, along with an amber-colored display that informs the user of what is going on inside the oven.

Advantages

Users can enjoy a direct access to the various cooking modes through the model's dial controls. The hidden bake element allows for more oven capacity. For more cleaning efficiency, this model comes with an Ecoclean option. A large window door allows for easy monitoring when a dish is being baked or cooked.

Disadvantages

Despite the unit's nifty features, some consumers have complained about the oven's high price tag. Operation costs are also high, considering that this model offers a variety of cooking modes. The two-tone design of this model may seem awkward to some consumers.
