EcoClean 10 Cooking Modes

The HBN3450UC is one of the mid-range single oven models manufactured by Bosch, which means it’s not too complete on all the advanced cooking modes and features other Bosch ovens have, and in turn also means it’s not as expensive as the more advanced models. This 27 inch electric wall oven does have convection bake and roast but only has 8 other cooking modes. The control panel also has glass touch and knob controls and has a stainless steel finish.

Interior Features

The oven’s interior features are geared towards users who don’t really require all the advanced features but at the same time appreciate additions. Unlike the usual two standard racks, this model is equipped with three standard racks that may compensate for the lack of a telescopic rack. The rack supports are made of porcelain. A pan designed especially for broiling is also available, and is also made out of porcelain.

To see what’s cooking inside the oven, the oven is equipped with one cavity lighting. That way, you can easily see the interior of the oven while it is in operation without having to open it.

The cooking elements such as the bake element and the broil element are designed in such a way that you can easily wipe the cavity without hassle and at the same time, you get the whole capacity of the interior cavity without any protrusions lessening the space.

The 4.7 cubic feet overall oven capacity of the interior cavity lets you cook anything without having to worry about the small space or having to buy smaller cooking vessels.

Exterior Features

The exterior features of the oven also make for additional convenience in cooking and contributes to the overall look of the oven. The flush-to-cabinet design of the oven allows you to easily coordinate the oven with the whole design aesthetic of the kitchen.

The control panel of the oven contains ergonomic dials that are easy to clean and easy to handle as well. The huge door window allows you to see what’s going on inside the oven as it happens.

The amber-colored characters on a display screen allows for the user to be informed of temperatures, remaining time left and time left of what’s cooking inside the oven.

Advantages

The 10 cooking modes available for this oven is just about right for users who don’t want too much fancy cooking modes in their ovens. The 2-hour self cleaning cycle mode assures safety and convenience for the user, not mentioning a thoroughly clean oven. The controls are neatly placed and easy to operate.

Disadvantages

The 4.2 cubic feet overall capacity of the oven may not be as huge as most ovens in the market, particularly most Bosch models which have 4.7 cubic feet capacities. For an oven that doesn’t have all the features of most Bosch oven models, this model is still a bit pricey. The other more convenient features found in other Bosch ovens like Meat Probe and Sabbath Mode are not present. The two-tone black door and control panel in a stainless steel frame may be a bit awkward to fit in.
