The HBL8450UC model is one of Bosch’s least affordable single oven models. That said, one must remember that Bosch ovens themselves are already pricey as is. Thus, anyone who wants to buy this 30" electric wall oven may need to be ready to shell out a few more hundred dollars than they are prepared to. But then, with features such as speedy and genuine European convection, 14 other cooking modes, a full-extension telescopic rack and glass touch controls, one could really find value with the extra dollars spent.

Interior Features

The rack and shelving options featured in this oven provide for extra convenience and function for the user. There’s one full-extension telescopic rack which takes out the hassle in handling hot trays and cooking vessels. The two other standard racks are equipped with rack supports made of high quality porcelain and are self-cleaning. The oven is also equipped with a pan especially designed for broiling, also made of porcelain.

The interior cavity also has three halogen lights that provide cavity illumination, allowing you to see what’s cooking onside the oven without having to open the oven.

The cooking elements inside the oven have been designed to ensure convenience and ease of use for the user. There’s a hidden bake element and a recessed 10 pass broil element which makes wiping the inside cavity hassle-free and also does not lessen the full capacity of the oven.

With the 4.7 cubic feet capacity of the oven, you can cook almost anything. No need to be worried if large cooking vessels can fit into the oven, because they indeed will.

Exterior Features

With the oven’s exterior features, guesswork and ease of use are guaranteed. The flush-to-cabinet design of the oven makes it blend well with whichever room you will be putting the oven.

The glass touch controls found in the upper portion of the oven’s face makes it easier for you to control the settings of the oven. It also lends the oven a very sleek and modern look.

The amber-colored full text display allows you to see time remaining, present cooking mode used and temperatures. This eliminates any ignorance of what’s going on in the oven.

The door window is huge, giving you an entire view of what’s going on inside the oven. Monitoring your dish is now easier with this feature.

Advantages

The oven has a large capacity at 4.7 cubic feet, the largest in the market these days. Packed with features, this oven has 16 cooking modes, including two convection modes. The controls make the oven easier to use – no need for a learning curve here! Features such as Meat Probe, Sabbath Mode, EcoClean and Recipe Mode lessens the hassle in cooking. The automatic temperature conversion feature makes convection cooking easier and that much faster.

Disadvantages

The unit costs more than the average single-door oven. The oven runs on electricity, which will incur you higher utility bills. The two-tone stainless steel frame and black door and control panel is a bit awkward to blend with other design elements of a kitchen.
