The HBL5460UC is one of the higher-end single door ovens produced by Bosch. This 30 inch electric wall oven is actually a convection oven, equipped with both speed and genuine European convection cooking modes. Aside from those two, there are also 14 other cooking modes available, giving you the best cooking performance for particular dishes. The controls are superb with glass touch Controls with ergonomic dials that are also retractable for both easy handling and cleaning. Equipped with distinct Bosch oven features such as Meat Probe and Sabbath Mode, this all-black oven is indeed a wise buy.

Interior Features

The oven has interior features that do give convenience to its users. With three standard racks, the user can cook or prepare different dishes and place it in the three racks all at once for simultaneous cooking. Certainly a good way to save on energy and time. The rack supports are made of high quality porcelain and can clean themselves, one less thing for the user to worry about. The broil pan is also made of porcelain and the inside cavity contains 2 cavity lights.

The oven also has two cooking elements that have been specially designed to be convenient and safe. The concealed bake element and recessed 10 pass broil element gives users less hassles when it comes to wiping the inside cavity and taking advantage of the full oven capacity.

The overall capacity of the oven is 4.7 cubic feet, which is the largest interior cavity of any oven available in the market today.

Exterior Features

The oven’s control panel is a marvel in design and functionality all at once. The ergonomic retractable dials give the user both conveniences in handling them as well as cleaning. The full text display is colored amber for the user to immediately identify cooking modes, cooking temperatures, and remaining time for whatever is cooking in the oven.

As for the door window, it is wide enough for the user to see through what’s going on inside the oven, without having to open the door of the oven.

Advantages

The oven is equipped with a cavity that is currently the biggest in all ovens available in the market today. At 4.7 cubic feet, that’s a major convenience! Most of the value-added features people expect from a Bosch oven such as Sabbath Mode, EcoClean and Meat Probe are present. With 16 cooking modes, you can certainly kiss the guesswork in operating an oven to cook something perfectly goodbye.

Disadvantages

As with almost all ovens by Bosch, this model is priced a bit higher than most other ovens in the market. The cost of operating this electric oven can be something that would not attract users who want resource-efficient appliances. The model comes in only one color, without a variety of options.
