LG COOKTOPS GUIDE

When it comes to cooktops, LG is one brand that has carved a niche for itself. With the company establishing more of a reputation for manufacturing high-end cellular phones and personal gadgets, LG cooktops present very convincing features that can be compared to the best cooktops available in the market these days. Let us look closer into what makes LG cooktops click.

Different types

LG cooktops have been classified into three: induction cooktops, radiant cooktops and gas cooktops. All models of cooktops manufactured by LG share some very useful and elegant features:

Stainless steel
The stainless steel trim of LG cooktops give the unit a sleek appearance. Moreover, the material resists corrosion and is also resistant to fire and heat, aside from it being easy to clean. This is very advantageous in maintaining a hygienic kitchen.

Smooth Touch
The patented SmoothTouch controls of the cooktops make manipulating them very easy. The controls are easy to grip, does not become messy even with spills or oils, and their appearance doesn’t get easily soiled or damaged.

Induction bridge elements
Induction bridge elements allow for very effective cooking because they combine two heating elements into one.

Griddles
Premium-grade griddles are provided with every purchase of LG cooktops.

Design
As for design, LG prides itself in making sure that the four elements in the company’s design philosophy are seen in its range of cooktops.

* Concept: Conceptual features like its exclusive bridge elements for large areas and Smooth-Touch Controls makes cooking not only stylish but definitely more convenient.

* Style: LG claims to employ sleek and state-of-the-art design in its cooktops to enhance the décor of any kitchen where the cooktops are placed.

* Interface: The cooktops’ interface would make anyone feel like a professional yet not have any difficulty in using them.

* Finish: LG Cooktops always feature a sleek finish that makes them ultra stylish.

Studio series line
There are currently nine models of LG cooktops available in the market. Four of them belong to the Studio Series line of cooktops, two of which are radiant cooktops and two are gas cooktops. Of the five other models, two are gas, two are radiant, and only one model offers electric induction features.

Electric induction
LG is currently pushing for its electric induction cooktop because the company claims it is the safest to use. In these cooktops, only the bottom part of the pot or pan is heated, so there are less chances of getting burned. LG also claims that induction cooktops cook faster than traditional cooktops, making the former more efficient in using energy.

Lastly, induction cooktops are also easier to clean because of its smooth and flat cooking surface. Since the surface of an induction cooktop does not get hot, food that may accidentally spill into its surface does not burn or cause a charred mess.

Popular models and their main features

From the nine models of LG cooktops available in the market today, the three most popular prove to be the most unique as well.

The LG LCE30845 Cooktop is the manufacturer’s only electric induction cooktop available in the market as of today. The model prides itself as a great combination of both advanced design and cooking performance. Equipped with four burners, the cooktop has a stainless steel trim that frames the elements in multiple sizes very elegantly. Users can easily adjust the cooktop’s setting with just a touch of a finger through the SmoothTouch controls. The two burner elements on the left are joined by the bridge element where users can evenly heat pans and griddles that are longer.

The LG LSCE305ST Cooktop is an electric radiant cooktop measuring 30 inches in width. With its 5 burner elements, the unit is also equipped with SmoothTouch controls, a bridge element to accommodate longer pans and griddles, and Steady Heat Technology. The black color with stainless steel trim looks very elegant. The surface is made of ceramic glass and the unit also has a hot surface indicator, a warm function, child lock, and auto shut off safety features.

The LG LCG3091ST is a leading gas cooktop model of LG, with a 30-inch surface width. This one has 5 burner elements, with the center having 19,000 BTUs of burner power. Made of heavy duty cast iron material, the unit also features a blue LED indicator light that tells the user which burner is cooking with just one look.

LG Cooktop Cons

The primary selling point of LG cooktops is undoubtedly their outstanding design. All nine models just look very elegant and classy. The features are also worth noting. However, it cannot be denied that when it comes to sleekness and design elements, there’s just something about LG cooktops that definitely make them the leader of the pack.

LG Cooktop Cons

For LG Cooktops, definitely the disadvantage that would be obvious in them would be the price. Compared to other brands that have a range of affordable to expensive cooktop models, all cooktops by LG are priced above $1,000. This may be a huge turn-off for shoppers who as much as they want units with lots of features, are also very conscious of their budgets.

If you have more than a few dollars to spare, it is definitely a wise decision to invest in LG cooktops. These cooktops have sophistication written all over them – from the look to the features.
